eCrater - eBay Stores alternative
Today, with eBay’s doubled fees, you have to give half of your profits to eBay in terms of fees. Not only that, Paypal’s fees also eat up a significant amount of your profit. Most eBay Stores Sellers also feel the chain wrapped around their throats, and to beat the competition – or simply to survive – they often lower their prices, they have to get some sales rather than none. eBay’s continuously fee hikes have significantly pushed away its users and united sellers to make a big move somewhere else. eCrater.com has been building up a pretty strong following and it has become one of the best alternatives for eBay sellers especially eBay Stores sellers, even some of the PowerSellers can be found on eCrater.

eCrater is no legitimate alternative. We have sold 1 item since being on eCrater. We get more views on the same amount of items on eBay in 1 day than we have in a month on eCrater. We have sold more items on RadicalBuys on Facebook in 2 weeks than we have on any other site except for eBay. I have left eBay because of fees but eCrater is not the answer.

My store, Record Relics, has done well selling on eCrater. We specialize in vinyl records for sale, both LP and 45, and our eCrater listings are getting quite a few hits. If you would like to get an idea of what an item for sale looks like on the eCrater site, you can look at our listings at this URL: www.recordrelics.ecrater.com

I have been selling hand dyed wool on eCrater for 1 1/2 years and I am thrilled. Sales are good -- I will triple my sales this year over last. But this doesn't just happen. It takes some work, and some SEO. There is not the traffic flow that eBay has, but I have a free storefront, and I can be found on page one of a Google search now, which has greatly increased my business. Gone are the days of hanging out your shingle and waiting for business to come. There was a heyday like that on eBay, but even that is gone. Competition is fierce and one has to work to get their name out there, as with any business. I have done the work, and I am happy to have my free store at eCrater.
